At the end of her MSc, she was offered the possibility to work as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Research Associate with the Centre for Offside Construction + Innovative Structures (COCIS) and Donaldson Timber Engineering (DTE) in 2015. This led her to develop new knowledge and helped her to improve her commercial awareness.
“Both scholarship and employment, have been amazing opportunities for me to develop my knowledge and experiences in both academic and industrial world. It gave me an insight on both worlds and will certainly help in the future to choose a career path. The work done as a KTP, working mainly on the SafeStep product in partnership with Donaldson Timber Engineering allowed me to improve and develop an appreciation of the construction industry and of the impressive work managed by the team (COCIS).”
